Nasrin Sotoudeh, an internationally renowned human rights lawyer jailed in Iran, has been handed a new sentence that her husband said was 38 years in prison and 148 lashes.

Sotoudeh, who has represented opposition activists including women prosecuted for removing their mandatory headscarf, was arrested in June and charged with spying, spreading propaganda and insulting Iran’s supreme leader, her lawyer said.

She was jailed in 2010 for spreading propaganda and conspiring to harm state security – charges she denied – and was released after serving half of her six-year term. The European parliament awarded her the Sakharov human rights prize.

The UK is berating itself for "Islamophobia" in politics. Islam is the global religion of about 1.3 billion Muslims. They can't all be savage, uneducated, sexually-challenged sadists. Some challenge their "holy" books that preach vile acts against women - and men - but mostly their feverish imaginations blame their women as sinners - deserving the wrath of "God". Their high-priests and religious leaders chat daily with God - so they know precisely what He, She or It wants. Here are some of the lunatic leaders who enjoy flogging and punishing women; as of course, God commands. It is how they get sexual arousal in a society that bans sex.

 










Other than confining these vicious, unjust, unbalanced, sadist in a zoo - with a lifetime's supply of their "holy" texts - what can be done about fervent Islamists spreading Sharia Law?

I was just about to be persuaded that Muslims in Europe and the USA are OK - apart from the even more crazed, suicide-vest gang. They simply hate and want to kill everybody who isn't a Muslim - and to kill a large percentage of Muslims who interpret the "holy" books differently from themselves. The Suicide gangs consult God by the hour - and He, She, It tells them THE TRUTH, THE WAY and THE RULES. They know that to get to Heaven they must kill all non-believers.

How can the stone-age Iranians - and all the 1.4 billion Muslims, be taught to accept the other 6 billion people on the planet? In the meantime, we can put pressure on Islam's political and religious leaders to free their innocent prisoners and compensate them for false arrest and sadistic treatment. Raif Badawi has been awarded a prize for literature. This will help to keep him in the minds of global civilized society - but he is still cruelly imprisoned and threatened with being tortured to death by 1,000 lashes, administered 50 per week by the world's most primitive, barbaric, savages, the Saud family, who rule Saudi Arabia. I cannot find any reports on Raif's present state of health. I guess the Saud's have paid the western media a lot of money to suppress any news. The UKs Prime Minister, David Cameron, recommended in 2013 that Saudi Arabia should sit on the UN council for human rights. Does evil hypocrisy have any worse examples of political doublespeak? Cameron evaded answering why he won't criticize King Saud, about a youth who the royal family want to publicly crucify: Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, 17, faces the death penalty.

Air Traffic controllers can divert their planes - Airport managers refuse them landing - Port managers refuse their ships - International bank clerks refuse their money transfers - Oil market traders refuse their trade - God will refuse their souls. People power can stop this sadism today. Don't deal with Saudi Arabia until it reforms. Act now!

The psychopathic, barbaric ruling family of Saudi Arabia and the "religious" leaders have designed a savage and horrible, medieval torture that takes months to kill a prisoner. Sadistic crowds are invited to get their sadomasochistic sexual kicks by watching the long, terrible, agonizing process. 

Week after week, a writer, Raif Badawi, is dragged from his cell to be publicly flogged with fifty-lashes, enough to kill most modern men, and is then thrown back into a cell. If he survives, the process is repeated ...and repeated ...and repeated ...up to 1,000 lashes. If he somehow lives through it all - he will be imprisoned, crippled by his appalling injuries, for another 9 years. His crime? Writing a blog that mildly criticized the Saudi system. 

All civilized societies should continually and persistently express their horror and outrage - and conduct no business of any sort with these cruel, primitive thugs.
