ECONOMICALLY
RESOLVE THE MIGRANT CRISIS:
The
USA and the EU attract thousands of migrants mostly from Africa and South
America. The cost of border controls, justice and jails is very high. It would
be more economic, and would greatly expand global wealth, to open up
undeveloped regions as high-tech centres and to direct, enable and encourage
desperate migrants to live there in prosperity.
EXAMPLE:
One such large desert region is in Egypt, The Qattara
Depression, in places sixty metres below sea-level; which has been proposed
to be flooded from the Mediterranean for more than a hundred years. President
Trump, a skilled developer, will know that the required 67 km canal could
be dug in weeks by a fleet of Caterpillar or JCB diggers. Combined with current
plans to supply
the whole EU with solar-power, with security and education the region could
be a hugely wealthy high-tech nation.
HAVENS FOR REFUGEES The region has a
tiny population of 0.5 people per square kilometre, nomadic herders, who could
be participants or be compensated.
I am sure that you can all
identify many similar attractive development and investment opportunities –
which can be rapidly completed.
It is cheaper than prisons and wars.
